Go: The Living Museum at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center

My awesome friend Danielle told me about this place and now I'm intrigued...the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center in Queens Village is home to the Living Museum, featuring artistic works created by the hospitals' patients. It's unclear what the hours of operation and admission fees are, but the trip is well worth it I'm sure!

Eazy, Breezy, New York Ceezy pt.12

There's nothing I love more than New York in December. Except maybe Brooklyn in December. As soon as my boo finishes finals on Thursday we will be going on a long-awaited Brooklyn winter date:

I.
First we'll take a scenic above-ground tour of Western Brooklyn on the B61 bus from Williamsburg, heading South to Jacques Torres Chocolate in Dumbo! Mmmm...hot chocolate and pastries

II.
Next we'll hop the B41L bus to Prospect Park and hit the ice at Wollman rink.

III.
After all those double axels, we're ready for some warmth and red wine. We'll get just that when we take the train to DOC Wine Bar in the Burg.

...sigh.

Eazy, Breezy, New York Ceezy pt.11

With a high of 28* today, it's too cold for a frolic about town. Stay warm and work on your holiday decorations, greeting cards and hot cider-sipping skills. Or if you have a job, go do that. However, for sanity's sake, you must leave the house at some point. Grab a friend, take the A, C, E or L to 8th Ave/ 14t St, and head over to Chelsea Market tonight (get there by 7 for good seats) for Rooftop Films' screening of hilarious/bizarre Wholphin short films and free beer!

Eazy, Breezy, New York Ceezy pt.10- Splurge in the name of love!

December 3rd = date night. Impress your sugarplum with a 5pm stroll down 5th Avenue...taking in the holiday windows and twinkling lights...using all the strength you can muster not to pop into Takashimaya...now keep heading North

Brrr it's getting chilly...take a left onto 57th St and warm your bellies with Pineapple Martinis, Lobster Shiitake Salad and Rock Shrimp Tempura at Nobu 57 (a.k.a. the 'splurge')

Before you get too tipsy it's time to move on to the brightest event of the evening...start walking South on 5th and take a right onto 50th St...ta-dahhh!! The Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Ceremony

As if this wasn't enough excitement, there's one more item on the agenda. What better way to end a romantic evening than with a Secret Science Club meeting at Union Hall in Park Slope? Sit back, relax, sip on a Synapse Sling and marinate on the topic of methamphetamines...
