Now that Obama's in the house, I feel a sense of patriotism I haven't felt...ever? Although patriotism doesn't quite describe it. It's more like a crush on the country. What better way to express this love than to spend V-day in DC....my boo is (sort of) surprising me with a long weekend in the nation's capitol and I can't WAIT!

Spring break: Tulum or not Tulum?

36 degrees and snowing is the perfect weather for a sunny daydream. I'm just lucky enough to be planning a getaway and the only requirement is that it be warm enough to frolic in short shorts and bright little dresses...no more socks and scarves!! First up on our list of cities/coastlines/islands still in the running...

Tulum embodies everything I want in a getaway- sun, sand, culture, food and foreign language. Its' beaches, cenotes and nearby Chichen Itza create a perfectly balanced vacation.

Going to see Francis and the Lights on Thursday at the Bowery! He reminds me of Prince(the squeals), Chris Isaak(the hair) and Joel(those moves) all rolled into one man...amazing.
