In Seattle!: Skillet Street Food

I love Seattle. Got in late last night and the first venture, after a looong walk with Ava, will be Skillet Street Food on Queen Anne for some lunchy. Panzanella? Poutine? Almond Cake? mmmm

Speakeasy at MoCoNY, nyc, aug.09

On Wednesday evenings through August 26th, the Museum of the City of New York will be home to a sweet little speakeasy...as if the exhibitions themselves weren't reason enough to go, the $10 admission will also grant you access to the museums' 5th avenue terrace AND it'll put a drink in your hand. Get while the gettins good.

Dine: Buttermilk Channel

Buttermilk Channel is just one more reason to fall in love with Carroll Gardens, my favorite Brooklyn nabe. I've been drooling over the brunch menu for months, and finally on Sunday some ladies and I will have our fill of Pecan Pie French Toast, Maple and Bacon Roasted Almonds, Warm Apple Cider Donuts and the A-B-C Grilled Cheese, washed down with Court Streets, Stars of the Sea and other late morning libations. Yum.

Summer Fridays: Guv Island

I la-la-la-love my new job and possibly the only thing that could make it better is the perk of summer Fridays- peace out at 1pm, friends! I plan on taking full advantage by starting each weekend with a sweet mini-escape. First stop: a lovely (and free) ferry ride to Governors Island for an afternoon of bike rides

Going!: Tulum, Mexico

Getting ready for our week-long winter escape and I thought I'd share some of our Tulum itinerary with you...

Go: Remember Zach

If you are in or around the Bay Area (California) tomorrow afternoon, Sunday the 15th, please stop by UC Berkeleys' Campanile Plaza at 3pm to remember our sweet little man, Zachary Michael Cruz. Zach would have turned 6 on Thursday and this is an opportunity to celebrate his life and 6th birthday with all who loved him.
