I can't imagine a more perfect album to anticipate as Fall creeps in. Feist's latest, "Metals", is due for release on 10/4/11 and these ears are ready.

Now that the weather has officially shifted, I'm spending a bit more time buzzing around my apartment and scheming up my next little home improvement project.

This one would be filed under "in my dreams" as our little abode doesn't have the space or high ceilings to accommodate dangling seating options. But how much would you LOVE to come home and sway back and forth on one of these everyday?!?

if you're like me, you wake up each morning, look in the mirror and wonder what the bejesus to do with all those hairs. then you grab some bobbies, do the same old front-to-side twist, pin it and be done with it. if i'm so bored with this 'do, i can't imagine how boring it must be for people who have to look at me everyday.

thanks to refinery 29's month of hair calendar, i have 31 new dos to look to!

The Bannerman Castle Trust, Aug.11

After spotting this little island and decrepit castle from the train on my way to Dia:Beacon last Fall, it's been high on my list of places to visit! It's so picturesque and I can't imagine a better time to explore it than during this upcoming season of colorful leaves and crisp air. fake it til you make it..., aug.11

...is one of my favorite phrases - i'd say i use it at least once a week. i wholeheartedly believe that you can 'fake' the confidence you need to try something new/make a giant leap forward/take important risks, until that confidence becomes a very real thing. fake it until people see you the way you want to be seen.
